I have lost 30 pounds.
30 FREAKING POUNDS PEOPLE!
I didn't even realize that I was 30 lbs over weight. Talk about serious denial. I knew I needed to lose weight - but was in denial about exactly how much. Part of the problem is, I don't own a full length mirror. All the mirrors in my house only show me from the waist up - and thanks to my 6 thousand dollar tummy and good boob genes, I look pretty darn good from the waist up, even when 30 lbs overweight. At least, my clouded, denial vision told me I looked good.
(as did my husband, every single day - he totally loves me!)
So I'm sure you are all dying to know how I did it. What the big secret is. The big secret that all skinny people are keeping to themselves? Are you ready for this?
I EAT LESS THAN I DID BEFORE!
Of course, exercise helps too - but honestly, I haven't been doing a ton of that. It all comes down to food. Not that eating less is easy, I'm not trying to say that it is - its something that I have tried and failed at many times before. But this time, I've been able to do it. Its like a switch has turned in my brain or my body - and my desire to eat more is just not there. For now. Hopefully I will teach my body to eat this way always, and when my desire to eat more comes back, my good habits will be stronger than my gluttonous desires.
So I'm well on my way to making my 33rd birthday goal a reality. In order to actually have the best body of my adult life, I have to not only weigh less, but be toned and fit as well - so phase 2 is going to be to step up my exercise. I only have about 3 months until I turn 34 (actually, 2 months and 26 days, but I'm not counting or anything). That seems like plenty of time to achieve my goal.
And I think I might try to lose about 5 more lbs. Just for fun. But then I might actually try to gain 10 or so lbs back, because I kinda miss my boobs.

Dayuuummm, woman! Way to go :)
Good job! You looked awesome before and you look awesome now. You know how much I love your boobs so I may beg you to gain a few pounds just so I can stare at them. Also to all those people who read your blog: Michelle still eats whatever she wants. She is not on a weird diet where she is constantly turning down food which is nice because she still will eat the things I cook.
Thanks Jake :)
And Tammy is right, I do eat whatever I want. I just want less.
I found you from BBC. I am inspired by your 30 lb loss. I would LOVE to lose my 30 lbs that have been hanging around since I started having kids. Do you mind my asking how long it took you to lose?
Great job!
Mckay - I think I started losing weight in about May....so 6 months or so?
Holy cow! You've got some major willpower. You are my new inspiration! Congratulations!
Way to go Michelle! You do look amazing. I'm so impressed by your ability to keep the focus and make the total lifestyle change. Yeah!!!
