Birthday Gifts Update

Some of you may remember, that in February I turned 33, and decided that I would give myself two gifts in my 33rd year. They were:

- get off of zoloft

- achieve my very best body

So, the update is this: I have been slowly weaning off of zoloft since February, and am now down to about a lick each morning. I think I'll continue licking my pill for one more week, and then I'll be done with it. (Its really more of a tiny nibble.) It has been a very smooth, easy process. YAY! I was worried that I would turn into a anxious depressed yelling crying hag, but so far, that hasn't happened.

As for the best body thing....I've gained about 10 lbs since February. I KNOW! Crazy. I don't know what the hell I've been doing / thinking to gain 10 lbs. Maybe weaning off zoloft has affected me that way. Or maybe its the abundant quantities of avocados I've been buying from Costco and eating. I'm not too worried about it though. I'm still working on it and I am sure that by the time I turn 34 I will be happy with the work I have done this year to get in shape. Yesterday I went for a 3 mile run (which is basically the most I ever do) but, instead of walking half the time, I walked only about 1/4 of the time. I can feel myself getting stronger and that feels good. I'm sure that if I just stick with it, even if I don't improve quickly, in time, I will have this running thing down.
