On Sunday our family went on a hike up to Ensign Peak. Its a great, short little hike above the capitol in Salt Lake. Once you get to the top, you can see the whole Salt Lake valley. Its a perfect hike for kids because its challenging, but short. My girls had fun and impressed me with their toughness and non-whiney-ness. I'm excited that they are both old enough to enjoy this kind of stuff. We only started taking them hiking last summer, because I didn't want to carry any babies while hiking, and I also didn't want to deal with whiney kids. I'm looking forward to a summer full of hikes with our girls.
