Yesterday I took Violet to my friend's house and picked up Lucy from school so we could spend some time alone together. Lucy has expressed that she misses the days when our family didn't include a little sister - so I decided to make it a regular thing that she and I, or she, Jacob and I spend some time on a weekly basis without the little sister. Since Lucy is in school, Violet and I already spent quite a bit of time alone. For our first "date" together, Lucy and I went to the gateway and hung out. We walked around in the sun, watched the fountain, got an ice-cream cone, and bought Lucy some new sunglasses. I love some of the pictures I took of her yesterday. I was never this cool as a child.
Jacob was working late last night - so the girls and I went out to dinner without him. We went to one of our favorite local Mexican joints - that has great sidewalk dining. I love eating outside in the summer. Sigh....

Being nosy, what Mexican restaurant did you go to? I am always looking for good Mexican up here.
Barbacoa. There are a few of them around the Salt Lake Valley. The one we went to is on 9th South and 9th East. Its quite similar to Chipotle- but local, and better.
Okay, I know right where that is! I'll have to give it a try one of these days!
