Learning to Draw

I recently decided that I was going to learn how to draw. I have always been envious of people who could draw. I know I will never be an artist, but I thought I could at least put some effort into learning how to draw something other than a stick figure. Lucy has been practicing with me. Some of the drawings I have done are exact duplicates of drawings I found online (mostly ETSY.) I don't feel like an impostor though - I am simply using someone else's talent to try to nurture my own. Lucy and I have spent so much time sitting at the kitchen table with our colored pencils and art paper lately. Here are some of the drawings we have come up with. Lucy usually watches what I am drawing and tries to duplicate it. I think her drawings are usually better than mine. Can you even tell who's is who's?

I could totally see you illustrating a book. Keep practicing; your drawings are fun and whimsy.

I want Lucy to draw something whimsical for me so I can frame it and hang it. Too cute Mush!

those are great! there's no shame in using referance. Thats how you learn. I've been drawing Mickey Mouses ... he's way harder to get right than you think :)
