Lagoon!

Today we are going to Lagoon. Its a local amusement park just North of Salt Lake. Two years ago our family got season passes and spent a good portion of the summer there. Lagoon is so much fun with kids. Watching them and their excitement brings back all the fun memories I have of being there as a child. Here are some pictures of us at Lagoon two years ago:

I know, I know, this picture has nothing to do with Lagoon (except for the fact that it was taken there.) But, don't you think I look cute with short hair? (and purple sunglasses?)

These are pictures I found online of Lagoon in the 70's. I'm sure my family has tons of pictures like these. Now I want to go through my mom's boxes of pictures and find vintage Shumway family Lagoon pictures.

I had no idea Lagoon was around in the 70s! And we have season passes. We're actually going on Tuesday, while I ditch work. I've never been to their water park, so we're going to that because it will be hot as hell.

Have fun!

Buy a Holga or Diana camera (aka lomographic, plastic, etc.) Black chandelier and Urban outfitters has them. You can get the medium format film at Pictureline in their little fridge.

They are the cameras from the seventies that took these kinds of awesome pictures. I have the Diana Dreamer (urban outfitters). SO much fun. If you don't want to go to lagoon, go to Liberty Park. I hear there are old fashioned carnival rides there that would look SO CUTE in lomo...add your kids to the mix and holy cow.

We're going to go with Michelle C's baby London pretty soon. I'll post when I get them developed.
