What I wore

I love fashion blogs.  The ones where regular girls - with a great fashion attitude - post pictures of their outfits every day.
(Lucy made that term up: "Fashion attitude".  As in "mom, you've got to meet the new girl in my class.  She's really sweet, and she has a great fashion attitude").

Some of my recent favorites are:

Its fun and inspiring to see how other people style their outfits and the different, creative ways they can wear things.  Like, I didn't even know until Reagan posted this picture of herself the other day that I could wear a shirt tucked into my skinny jeans with a skinny leather belt.  I had no idea!  So thanks Reagan!  And now I have been rockin' that look like every other day.

I was telling Jacob about my favorite daily outfit blogs and he said "Why don't you do that?"
and I said "cause I don't actually wear anything all that interesting"
He didn't really argue with me about that.  But a few days later when he got home from work I was in the kitchen cooking dinner.  He took one look at me and said:
"You should totally blog that outfit"

Isn't that cute?

So I'm not going to actually do this every day or anything.  Probably I'll never do it again.  But I'm going to do it right now, just for fun.  Here are a few pictures of what I have been wearing these past few days.
(the first picture is the one Jacob said was blog worthy)
I should have at least smiled for the picture, hu?   Ok, here is one where I am flexing.  But I'm still not really smiling.

So this is what I'm wearing:
twist neck shirt : Old Navy - like 5 years ago
Mustard Cardigan : Target
Skinny studded belt : Target
Black Stirrup Jeggings: Gap
(At first I thought the stirrups were crazy and silly, but then I realized how nicely they stay tucked into boots and I was sold)
Boots : Mia - a few years old.  And I wear them all the freaking time

This one was taken before Jacob and I went on a date.  I curled my hair for him.

 T-shirt: TJMaxx
Red Cardigan: Target
Same belt from Target
Same Black Stirrup Jeggings: Gap
Red Boots: Steve Madden - TJMaxx
This ones a little matchy-matchy for me.  I don't usually wear my red boots and my red cardigan at the same time.  I mean, I don't want to be boring.

He looked cute too so I took a picture of him
Tshirt: TJMaxx
Jeans: Nordstrom Rack.  Some sort of cool brand.  Don't know what.
Shoes: Converse
Watch: Rolex.  We are rich.  Just kidding.  It is a Rolex, but we are not rich.  It was a gift.
(from a rich friend, obviously)

And Last - but certainly not least:
(I can't get my head and my outfit in the same shot with my computer camera.  Sorry.  I think I was smiling really pretty in this one, so its really too bad you don't get to see it)
(ps - this one I contributed to everybodyeverywhere because I just happened to be wearing stripes the day I found this blog and they happened to be in the midst of a stripe challenge)
Tshirt: TJMaxx
Cardigan: Target (there it is again!)
Scarf: Target (another item that I wear far too often)
Skirt: Charlotte Russe
Leggings: TJ Maxx
Mia boots - again.  Told you

I buy pretty much everything at Target.  Once in a great while I will go to TJ Maxx.  And I rarely venture to a real mall.  Really, I rarely even buy clothes these days, since I am on a strict budget and have actually been really good at sticking to it lately.  But if I buy something, its usually from Target.

So that was fun!  Thanks for stopping by!

Ok, "fashion attitude?" I read the first line of your post and I was all ready to compliment you on that term. I love it! Way to go, Lucy. Great post, M. I know I say it all of the time, but I think that your family is so cute.

thanks so much for linking to me, that was so nice of you, i'm flattered.

i read kendi everyday, i love her blog and i think she is so funny, but i actually don't really like the way she dresses that much. i mean, it's ok of course, it's just not how i dress really. but her husband takes the most beautiful pictures of her and she is adorable.

again, you look awesome!

oh my gosh Reagan - poor Kendi. If she ever reads what you wrote it will break her heart!

I loved the outfit she posted the other day with the stripe shirt, the blazer and the blue floral skirt. That was super cute.

I'm glad that you were able to post to EBEW on your only outfit post! Maybe you can do it with again. It's just once a month ;)
