The Daily Plate is kicking my Ass!
I've been doing The Daily Plate from Livestrong.com, very consistantly for a month. My husband and a couple of my best friends are doing it too - and we're having fun tracking our calories, watching what each other eat, and giving each other support. I have lost 5 lbs. 5 lbs is not much for an entire month. I feel like I should have lost twice that. I stuck to the program strictly at least 29 out of those 30 days, and I barely lost anything. So just now I went back to my original profile to make sure it was current. I wanted to see if I calculated my calories correctly. The only thing I noticed that was off was my birthday, which was listed as 08/12/1908. So, just the fact that Livestrong.com thought I was a feeble old woman, of....um....102 years old was throwing my game totally off. So. For the past month I have been eating approximately 1500 calories a day and I, as a 33 year old woman, should be eating around 1100 calories a day. Those um...400 calories a day are not helping me reach my goal. So, now I know. I'll change my calories, and hopefully the next month of following this program will show better results.

I think there is something seriously wrong with your live strong. That is WAY too little calories. It's so much better and long lasting to adjust slowly than in a big ass hurry. I'm set to have almost 1800 calories a day if I want to lose 1.5 pounds a week. Considering how often I stay in line and how much I've lost I'm right on target. I overestimate my calories though. I keep thinking you are underestimating. Either way, I guess adjusting your caloric goal will even it out and you will see results. I just don't think that 1100 calories is healthy.
I like your new blog layout by the way. And good job on the 5 lbs.
1908! that is pretty damn funny. and totally something i would do, follow "strict" guidelines that are totally off!
