The project that Killed my machine

Lucy informed me today that Friday is Emily's birthday. Emily is her doll. No doll can have a birthday party without a new party dress, so, naturally, I sewed one up. Again, I winged it - no pattern. I should really stop doing this because they are always just a little off. (this one is incredibly hard to get on and off). Just as I was finishing up the last details on the dress, my sewing machine motor went out. Like, I think its totally dead. This is both good and bad news. Good, because I have hated this machine since I bought it 3 years ago, and bad, because I can't actually afford to go buy a new one right now. This little doll dress might be the last thing I make for awhile.
