9 years.....

I found this silly little poem today that I wrote for Jacob a little over a year ago on the anniversary of our first date. I had written it as a blog post, but didn't post it....don't know why. Maybe its because the last few lines don't rhyme.

(back story - I met Jacob at his place of employment - I kept going into his store cause I thought he was hot, and was pretty sure he thought I was hot, so I kept going in, you know, to give him ample opportunity to ask me out. He never did, so I eventually sent an email to the store with his name on it asking him out. I was so brave.)

9 years ago, I sent you an email
And that was the start
of our wonderful tale

You took me to dinner
at that Italian place
And then to a movie;
"Keeping the Faith"

Under the table where no one could see
I felt a spark
When your knee touched my knee

I thought it romantic
and I knew I liked you
when you shared with me, your tiramisu

5 houses, three dogs, and two little girls later

I'm excited to see where the next 9 years takes us
and the 9 after that
and the 9 after that
and the 9 after that.....
