Violet cut her own hair today - while she was in the care of grandma. I was so sad and mad that she cut off her beautiful curls. Not all of them, just a good chunk at the side of her face. After chewing her out I reminded her:
Me: "Violet, you know, there is nothing you could do that would make me stop loving you"
Violet: "Well....there is one thing I could do"
Me: "Whats that?"
Violet: "I could hit you in the face"
And then later...
"mamma, I love you more than my own heartbeat"
Seriously. Where did she come up with that? Did she hear it on the Air Supply CD that we keep playing over and over and over and over (at her insistance) I don't care where she heard it or how she came up with it - it was sweet. I almost forgive her for the haircut.
