You can all say it

Go ahead. Say it. I know you are all dying to tell me "I told you so!" Jacob and I started this adventure of living in the hood 29 months ago. We went 29 months without incident, but last week, our beloved house was broken into. I came home from work to find our living room torn apart, and our kitchen window shattered. I immediately left and called 911. They got away with a few things - but not much. I'm sure some addict got a fix or two off of our things. We have gotten a very sophisticated alarm system installed, so hopefully we will be protected from this happening to us again in the future. I'd love to show you pictures of the damage they did, and the mess they made - but they stole our cameras.

I am very sorry. That sucks! I am glad nobody was home though. I hope your security system keeps your house nice and safe.

Never ever. You guys are brave, and visionary and have the guts to build the house you wanted in an area that most would shy from. Change can't happen unless people like you are willing to strike out. I am sorry for what happened. I am so glad none of you were ther at the time. You are all safe. Shame on those who would take advantage and make you feel insecure and violated in your home home, even for a moment.
Love you guys. Stay safe.

Well, I dont live in the hood and our neighbors house was broken into. I think you stand a chance to get robbed no matter where you live. I am so glad you have an alarm system, it will help. I'm really sorry it happened to you!
Love you guys too!

I am glad that you and your family are okay. That is not something I would ever want to go through. I can't even imagine how violated you must have felt and do feel. Hopefully, the alarm system will sway any future addicts. Don't let one person ruin a good thing.
