Learning Patience

During the dusting-for-finger-prints portion of our robbery fiasco, our living room rug was damaged. (that black finger print powder is so hard to clean up - and impossible if its spilled on a white rug). So I have decided to replace it. I was going to buy some more FLOR tiles - but they don't have exactly what I want, so my friend Brittany decided she was going to teach me "absolute patience and self control" and convinced me to save my money and buy exactly what I want. Something that I will love, and that will make me smile every time I see it. The insurance will give us about $500 for the rug that was damaged - so I only need to save about $500 more to have the rug of my dreams. Now the question is - which rug is the rug of my dreams? Brittany is a genius at interior design. She suggested I look at the rugs at Anthropologie and holy cow. I think I am in love with all of them. Here are a few of my favorites. Now I just need to narrow it down to "the one".

This is the rug that was damaged. I want something softer - something with a more organic feel. Everything in my house is straight lines, and I need something different to soften it up.

I heart the 1st yellow and both reds. All beautiful. Luckily you will have time to think while you save the dough.

I LOVE the last one in orange with the big flowers. Which goes best with the wall clor in the dining area?

I love them all too. I would want every one of them so I could change them out every few weeks. I wish I were really rich, because I'd buy them all for you. :)

I wish you were really rich too. Why don't I have any rich friends or family? Total Bummer.
